ACHIEVE

The Palm Beach County Health Department’s Community and Health Division was recently awarded the prestigious Action Communities for Health, Innovation, and Environmental Change (ACHIEVE) grant.  The goal of the grant program is to bring together local leaders and stakeholders to build healthier communities by promoting policy and environmental change.  

In connection with being award the grant, the coalition created a community name, Palm Beach County Coalition to ACHIEVE Wellness.  The coalition consists of a diversified group of professionals committed to ignite change within our communities for healthier lifestyles by developing and implementing policy.  The coalition is helping community members create pathways toward achievable and attainable goals.

The coalition focuses on the initiatives of Community Gardens, 9-5-2-1-0, and Non-Motorized Transportation.  Each initiative is uniquely individualized by sub-committees to address key needs found within our existing communities. 

Palm Beach County Coalition to ACHIEVE Wellness target areas are Palm Springs, Greenacres, Lake Worth, and overall, Palm Beach County.
